Edward "Eddy" Wayne Lewis, age 56, Blue Mound, Kansas died as the result of a motor vehicle accident Monday, July 29, 2019. He was born in Fort Scott, Kansas on August 8, 1962 the son of Britt and Barbara Smith Lewis. He graduated from high school in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He worked in the oil fields and construction industry. Eddy Wayne enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, gardening and especially helping people. He was preceded in death by a step father, Van Michael and maternal grandparents, Louis and Irmal Smith. All three of them had an instrumental part in raising Ed. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Jason and Tina Lewis. Eddy Wayne is survived by his mother, Barbara Michael, a special friend and companion, Melany Felt, and a step sister Lisa Tice.
Memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2019 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to service time.
