William Thomas Sheehy was born Aug. 27, 1939, in Fort Scott, Kan., to Joseph Andrew and Elizabeth Ellen (Keating) Sheehy. He passed away Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at the Prescott Country View Nursing Home at the age of 78 years.
William was employed at K.C. Nut & Bolt Co. as a salesman, and later worked at Thorco in Butler, Mo.
William was preceded in death by his parents; twin sister Elizabeth Alt; and two brothers, John J. Sheehy and Patrick Sheehy.
He is survived by his three children, Janie Patterson, Jeanette Sheehy and Bill Sheehy, all of Shawnee, Kan.; two sisters, Patricia Garrison, Fort Scott, and Mary K. (and Charley) Johnson, Prescott, Kan.; and three grandchildren, Ashley and Kristen Richard and Marley Sheehy.
William will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Rosary will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Heuser Funeral Home, with Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, with burial in the St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, Fulton, Kan.
