Olivia M. Laudan, 70, Pleasanton, Kan., passed away Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014. She was born at Westphalia, Kan., the daughter of Orley and Helen Hughey Hermon.
She moved from Council Grove, Kan., to Pleasanton for her final year of high school, graduating from Pleasanton High School. Olivia attended cosmetology school in Hays, Kan. She worked in many different occupations, including beautician, postmaster, and receptionist.
She married Bill Laudan on Oct. 6, 1964. He preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Olivia was a member of the Mound City Christian Church. She was also very involved with the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by a very special companion, Clinton Baugh. The two have traveled, and enjoyed each other’s company since 2007. Also surviving are two sons, Scott Laudan and Doug Laudan and his wife Rexanne; a brother, C. H. Hermon; and four grandchildren, Nathan, Rylan and Morgan Laudan and Melissa Chavarria.
Funeral service was held Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at the Mound City Christian Church. Burial was in the Pleasanton Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the church or Mercy Hospice.
