Patricia Ann “Pat” Wallace, 82, of Mound City, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018. She was born Aug. 17, 1935, the daughter of Glenn and Dorothy (Clearwater) Coffeen in the Richland district north of Farlinville, Kan., where she mostly grew up and went to grade school. She graduated from Mound City High School.

Pat married Vernon L. “Doc” Wallace on Sept. 6, 1952. They had three children, Vicky, Verna and Terry and lived in Mound City. Doc died in 1996.

She was a member of the Mound City Federated Church.

She worked for over 50 years as a clerk-typist and helped Doc with his construction business when he needed her help.

She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much and spent as much time with them as possible.

She is survived by her three children, Vicky Snyder, Gardner, Verna Staniec and husband David, Windsor, Mo., and Terry Wallace and wife Janice, Mound City; six grandchildren, Michelle Moreland, Michael Snyder, Carissa Summers, Rebecca Wallace-Antrim, Scott Wallace, and Nicholas Wallace; and 21 great grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by her father and mother, and her husband Doc.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the Woodland Cemetery.
