Ann Johnson, age 80, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024. She was born on Sept. 14, 1943, in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Raymond and Vada Daniels Casida. She graduated from Blue Mound High School and Fort Scott Community College. Ann
was united in marriage to Gary Johnson on May 15, 1964. He preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 2006. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jim Casida.
Ann was known
to be a hard working lady. She worked at the Bank of Pleasanton, Casey’s and Prescott Country View. She was a member of the Pleasanton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in the yard and spending time with her family. Ann is survived by three sons, Brian
Johnson (Jennifer), Casey Johnson, and Dustin Johnson (Jennifer); a daughter Kenda Johnson (Aaron Chitwood); a brother, Dave Casida (Joanne); a sister-in-law, Zoila Casida; and ten grandchildren, Phoenix Johnson, Rylea Johnson, Maddie Johnson, Nate Johnson, Brayden
Johnson, Beckett Johnson, Rowen Johnson, Jhett Johnson, Keegan Chitwood and Nic Chitwood.
Funeral service was 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial followed at the Curry Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at the Pleasanton Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasanton United Methodist Church, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O.
