Barbara Jean Harbison, age 85, La Cygne, Kan., passed away Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025. She was born on Oct. 16, 1939, in La Cygne, Kan., the daughter of Harry T. and Evelyn Faye Nellsch Bergman. She graduated from La Cygne High School. She worked at many different jobs, but, most of her working career was at Bass Buster. Barbara was united in marriage to Glen Harbison on July 1, 1980. She was a member of the Fontana Christian Church. She liked to crochet, cook and work in her flower garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Laverne Bergman. Barbara is survived by her husband, Glen Harbison; three daughters, Pam Lewis, Marian Miller and Jenny Grizzle (Gale); two brothers, Bill Bergman and Eugene Bergman; four grandchildren, Kyle and Adam Grizzle, Brandon Pompey, and Jessica Lewis; and three great-grandchildren, Allie Stewart, Andi Grizzle and Ethan Pompey.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, at the Fontana Christian Church. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the Schneider Funeral Home, La Cygne Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to Breast Cancer Research.
