Becky Crowthers, age 48, Pleasanton, Kan., passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Menorah Medical Center. She was born on April 30, 1970, at Olathe, Kan., the daughter of Billy Joe and Teresa Sajwaj Cox.
She graduated from Olathe South High School. She attended Fort Scott Community College where she received her Registered Nurses degree.
She was employed at Shawnee Mission Medical Center for the past 14 years, working in the stroke unit as well as the “Ask a Nurse” department.
Becky enjoyed being outside as long as the weather was not extreme. She was a good cook and seamstress. She even made her own scrubs for work.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Becky is survived by a daughter, Sam Bruner and her wife Brandi; her live-in companion, Steve; a brother, Tim Staton and his wife Elisa; two sisters, Michelle Slater and Melanie Staton; two grandchildren, Camryn Harper and Zahra Bruner; a niece, Manon Turpen; and three nephews, Nick and Henry Talley and Kamden Staton.
Funeral service was held Friday, May 18, 2018, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.
