Bonnie Faye Bishop, age 76, Olathe, Kan., passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025. She was born on March 25, 1949, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of William and Imogene Krueger Carter. After graduating from high school, she was united in marriage to Michael Bishop on May 6, 1968. He preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bill and Mark Carter; and three sisters, Shirley George, Francis Ipoc and Mary Means.
Bonnie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Parker. Her relationship with her Savior was most important, followed closely by her family, whom she loved spending time with. She enjoyed gardening, baking (cookies for the grandkids), putting puzzles together, reading and playing Bingo and dominoes. Bonnie is survived by three sons, Chris Bishop (Kendra), Eric Bishop (Anna), and Jeremy Bishop (Megan); a daughter, Melissa Osenton (Chad); a brother, Craig Carter; three sisters, Carolyn Duncan, Nancy Tobey, and Trudy Carter; eight granddaughrers, Mackenzie, Gabbie, Ashton, Emma, Mia, Hope, Emersyn and Kenadee; and three grandsons, Javin, Kaleb and Connor.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Parker. Burial will be in the Sunny Slope Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at the Schneider Funeral Home, Mound City Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
