Bonnie L. Purdy, age 75, Pleasanton, Kan., passed away on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at her home. She was born on Nov. 8, 1941, at Winona, Mo., the daughter of Paul M. and Creado B. Bell Hunt.
She married Russell Purdy at the Linn County Courthouse on Jan. 4, 1971. This union lasted over 45 years.
Bonnie loved her family. She enjoyed embroidering and playing bingo. She was very active in the Pleasanton PTO while her kids were in school.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Paul; two sisters, Melba and Connie; and a grandchild.
Bonnie is survived by her husband Russell; three daughters, Sherry McCulley, Tina Bruce and Twyla Purdy; one son, Raymond Hunt; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at the Pleasanton First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.
