Carol A. Boyer, 87, Baldwin, Kan. passed away Friday, Aug. 21, 2015. She was born Nov. 2, 1927, at Lake Geneva, Wis., the daughter of Paul and Mabel Stoughtenberg Alm.
During her working career, she was employed as a bookkeeper in several different businesses. Carol was very active in the Lions Club, Methodist Church and Hope House.
She married Larence “Tiny” Boyer Dec. 6, 1975. He preceded her in death March 8, 2011. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Howell and Claire Chapman.
She is survived by a son, Dwight Sare and wife Kathy; two daughters, Linda Litke and husband Carl, and Charlie Higby and husband Dave; a sister, Peggy Cramer; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Following cremation Carol will be inurned at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the Hope House c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O. Box J, Mound City, KS 66056. Online condolences for the family can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
