Cledys Atwater, 81, of Osawatomie, Kan., passed away March 18, 2015, at Life Care Center of Osawatomie. He was born March 7, 1934, in Centerville, Kan.
Cledys married Charlene Farr Sept. 11, 1954, in Ardmore, Okla.
Cledys proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, and was a rural mail carrier, serving postal patrons in the Stanley/Stillwell, Centerville, and Mound City, Kan. area for 40 years.
Preceding him in death were his wife Charlene Atwater; parents, William Francis and Sylvia May (Melton) Atwater; brothers, Clovis (George) Eldon Atwater and Adrian Lorraine Johnson.
He is survived by his three children, son, Grayden Royce Atwater (Cinda); daughters, Lori Rachelle French (David) of Osawatomie, Kan., and Lisa Renee Klebba (John) of Linn, Mo. There are eight much loved grandchildren, Abby, Aaron, Andy and Annie French, John (Jessica) Klebba, Joe (Emilee) Klebba, Megan Klebba and Patrick Klebba; one great-grandchild, Jacey Klebba, daughter of John and Jessica Klebba; and sister-in-law, Judy Atwater of Lenexa, Kan.
