Darryl Gene Gillespie, Sr., age 65, Pleasanton, Kan., passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2022. He was born on May 13, 1957, in Ridgeway, Mo., the son of Darryl L. and Sharion (Baker) Gillespie. 

He was a plumber for most of his working career. Darryl was the definition of a “Gear Head.” He loved fixing and restoring cars and had a passion for dirt track racing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Darryl L. Gillespie, and a brother, Roy Gillespie.  Darryl is survived by his wife, Ruthie Sedlock; two sons, Darryl Gillespie, Jr., and Michael Gillespie; a brother, Donald Gillespie; stepsons, Shannon Wray, Chadwick Wray, Ryan Sedlock, and Kaleb Sedlock; stepdaughter, Julia Peters; and several grand and great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate the life of Darryl Gillespie, Sr., will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to Concern Inc.
