Dennis Lee Findley, age 74, Mound City, Kan., passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. He was born on April 9, 1946 in Wichita, Kan., the son of Arthur and Lillian LaRue Barham Findley. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was married to Glenda Schmidt on July 21, 1980. He owned his own lock smith shop, was a registered gun dealer and worked in the oil fields. He enjoyed being outdoors. Dennis was a volunteer at the Prescott Food Pantry. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Duane Findley; and a sister Donna Ortman. Dennis is survived by his wife, Glenda; two sons, Wade Miller and John Findley; three daughters, Cynthia Deviney Hightower; Jenny Knippa; and Denise Needham; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A private family committal service will be held at Fort Scott National Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to the Prescott Food Bank. Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com. Arrangements: Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel.
