Donna Kay Thomas was born on Sept. 21, 1966, to Warner John Schroeder and Amanda Novella Jackson Schroeder in Lexington, Mo. She was the fourth of six children.

Donna attended nursing school and business classes at White River Technical College in Newport Arkansas. Donna was a Federal employee for over 20 years.

Donna was preceded in death by a son James Robert Thomas; a sister Kathy Wilson; and both of her parents.

She is survived by her son Eric Neal Thomas of La Cygne, Kansas. She is also survived by two brothers, Gary Schroeder and Steve Schroeder; two sisters, Janet Marrs and Suzanne Barker; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and a great-nephew.

Donna was a very sweet and loving person. She helped many people during her life; many times, putting herself last to help others. She will be greatly missed. The world is a little darker and colder without her light.

The family suggests contributions to the La Cygne Christian Church and may be sent in care of Schneider Funeral Home P.O. Box 304 La Cygne, Kan. 66040. Online condolences may be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
