Donna Lea McQueen, 68, Pleasanton, Kan., passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at her home. She was born Feb. 3, 1947, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Kenneth Martin and Wilma Bowdre. She was raised by George Nelson and Wilma.
She married Donald McQueen Nov. 9, 1961. She worked at Paul’s Drive Inn for over 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Donald Dean McQueen Jr.
She is survived by her husband Donald; two daughters, Sue Meyer and Lora Ralle; two brothers, George and Mark Nelson; five sisters, Mary Smith, Kathy Henre, Georganna Romera, Nancy Nelson, and Cherl Swift; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2015, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the Pleasanton Chapel. The family suggests contributions to a charity of choice.
