Doris Ann Prike, 83, of Longmont, Colo., passed away on Sept. 8, 2019. She was born on Oct. 15, 1935, in Turner, Kan., to Clare and Stella Peck.

Shortly after graduating from Turner High School, Ann met Bill Prike, and they were married on Aug. 7, 1954, in Kansas City, Kan.

Ann and Bill moved to Denver, Colo., in 1959 to start a new chapter of their life. Ann started working for Boulder Valley School District as a teacher’s aide at Mesa Elementary School. Later she moved to the District Building as the transportation department secretary and retired from Boulder Valley School District.

After retirement, Ann and Bill owned an RV/boat storage business in Glendo, Wyo. Ann was a proud member of the Eastern Star.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, and brother, Lloyd Peck.

Ann is survived by her sister, Pauline Pretz; children Mark (Katherine) Prike, Keith (Sandy) Prike and De Ann (Chris) Queen; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Celebration of Life was held on Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, at Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St., Longmont. Graveside service took place on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019, at Oak Lawn Cemetery, La Cygne, Kan.
