Dorothy Elizabeth Mumma, 96, of Linn Valley, Kan., passed away Feb. 25, 2016, at Vintage Park of Louisburg. Graveside service was Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at Spring Hill Cemetery, Spring Hill, Kan. Dorothy was born Sept. 7, 1919, in Edgerton, Kan., to Charles and Blanche Ganelle (Woodard) McKaughan. She graduated from Iola High School. Dorothy married William Harel Mumma April 10, 1943, in Kansas City, Mo. They moved to Shawnee, Kan., in 1966 and then to Linn Valley, Kan., in 1998. She enjoyed sewing in her spare time. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, William, in 2002; parents; brother Hershel McKaughan and sister Edith Brophy.

She is survived by her children Robert W. Mumma and wife, Joyce, of Linn Valley, Kan., and Dianna L. Shaffer and husband, Bill, of Spring Hill, Kan.; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
