Dorothy Irene Nation, age 95, Mound City, Kan., passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017. She was born in Linn County, Kan., on Nov. 8, 1921, the daughter of Raymond and Ada Hines Dean.
Dorothy married Leslie Nation on June 21, 1938, in Nevada, Mo. He preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1989. She was a homemaker and a farm wife.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Marvin Dean, Freddie Dean and Archie Borger; and three sisters, Mildred Peery, Iva Clay and Lillian Clay.
Dorothy is survived by two sons, Melvin Nation and wife Sue, and L.D. Nation and wife Ruth; seven grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was on Monday, July 31, 2017, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Burial was in the Linnville Cemetery.
