Dorothy L. Largent, 94, Overland Park, Kan., passed Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, at Prescott Country View, Prescott, Kan. She was born on Aug. 16, 1922, on the farm north of Shelton, Neb.
Dorothy graduated in 1939 from Shelton High School.
She married Dale Largent in March of 1945. They made their home in Hastings, Neb., and then moved to Overland Park, Kan., in 1955.
She was a homemaker and also worked at Shawnee Mission West High School for many years.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Dale of 56 years on March 23, 2000, and a brother, Glenn Pope.
She is survived by her three children, Rod and wife Marsha, Patty and partner Lynette, and Larry and wife Donna; three sisters, Loma Campbell, Ila Wood and Virginia Leubs; three grandchildren, Michael Largent, Allyson Largent and Amanda Gorman; and four great-grandchildren.
Private family inurnment was planned.
