Dorothy Louise Newton

Dorothy Louise Newton, age 77, Pleasanton, Kan., passed away on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019, at her home. She was born on Nov. 3, 1942, in Northwood, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer and Juanita Lindely.

Dorothy was married to Dickie Chase Newton in Mason City, Iowa, on May 7, 1962. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1995. Dorothy received her LPN certification from Research School of Nursing and spent most of her career working in nursing homes.

She enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, caring for people, and playing penny poker.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Arthur Lindely.

Dorothy is survived by three daughters, Karla Watson and husband Glen, Susan Newton and Dixie Collins; eight grandchildren, Chase, Chasity, Courtney, Clowy, Cassie, Heaven, Kyle and Juanita; and 16 great grandchildren. 

A gathering to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.
