Douglas Eugene Joseph, 60, of Fort Scott, Kan., died Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo. Doug was born on Aug. 6, 1964, in Pittsburg, Kan., to Jean Ann Jones. He graduated from high school in 1982 and immediately joined the United States Army to serve his country.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Deborah McCallum. Survivors include his brother-in-law, Robert McCallum; nephew, Matthew McCallum; niece, Calli McCallum (Jessica); his many caregivers through the years; and his extended family at Medicalodge of Fort Scott where he had lived for many years.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Schneider Funeral Home and Cremations, Pleasanton Chapel. Friends and family may leave online condolences at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
