Edgar Wayne Moon, age 82 of La Cygne, Kan., passed away at his home on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022. He was born the son of Chester and Evelyn (Van Liew) Moon on Aug. 14, 1940, in Lawrence, Kan. 

Edgar married Betty Talley on June 3, 1962, at Lawrence, Kan., and to this union two children were born. Edgar was the owner/operator of Moon’s radiator shop for 32 years. He enjoyed being in his shop tinkering and working on street rods. He loved spending time with his family at the family cabin in Colorado, he also enjoyed his Coors Light beer and had an amazing love of animals, some even teased him as being Dr. Doolittle. 

Edgar was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Josh Wiggins.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; daughter, Pam (Charlie) Wiggins; a son, Andy (Michelle) Moon; a brother, Mike Moon; a sister, Kathy Hopper; seven grandchildren, Cody, Dylan and Dalton Wiggins, Adam Moon, Amanda Martinez, Melinda Galloway and Andrea Moon. 

There are no services scheduled at this time. Memorial Contributions are suggested to St. Croix Hospice or Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of Schneider Funeral Home P.O. Box 304  La Cygne, Kan.  66040. Online condolences may be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
