Eva M. (Reece) Arnett, age 79, of Eagan, Minn., passed away peacefully on July 19.

Eva was born on April 14, 1938, in La Cygne, Kan., where she lived until her marriage to Paul Arnett in December 1956. During their marriage, Eva and Paul lived and traveled to many different places and made friends wherever they went. 

Eva enjoyed reading, genealogical research and being with her family. She was very involved in Girl Scouting, and served as a leader in the Glen Lake Service Unit for many years. She also served on the Greater Minneapolis Girl Scout Council.

She is survived by her husband Paul; daughter Jana (Chuck); son Steve (Sara); and grandchildren Maggie, Ryan, Knox, Kevin and Cole. She is also survived by two sisters, Mary (Dale) Milton and Carol (Marvin) Creager; and many nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Earnest and Arlene Reece and brother Howard Lin Reece. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Eagan Community Center on Aug. 4. A gathering of family and friends will take place at 1 p.m. Sept. 16. It will be at the Labette Bank community room, 501 E. Market St., La Cygne. 

The family requests donations to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
