Frank Lovilo Makemson, St. Paul, Kan., formerly of Linn County, Kan., passed on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015. He was born on Sept. 10, 1937, at Pleasanton, Kan., the son of Oscar Raymond and Alice Adeline Holt Makemson.
He ran a Grade A dairy until the mid 1970s and then began raising beef cattle. He enjoyed working on small engines. He was a maintainer operator for Linn County Road Department before his retirement.
He married Donna Tillery on Jan. 25, 1960, at Garnett, Kan.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Gerald; two sisters Dorothy Clay and Aldie Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter Donita Paulie and significant other David Steinbacher; three grandchildren Chelisa Sturm and Mikel, Brent Paulie and Kara, and Blake Paulie and Robin; and two great-grandchildren Aiden and Camryn Sturm.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Visitation will be held from 5–7 p.m. at the Schneider Mound City Chapel. Contributions are suggested to the Frank Makemson Memorial Fund.
