Fred Irvin Stumpff, age 84, from Linn Valley, Kan., went to be with the Lord, Saturday, Aug. 1, 2020, at Olathe Hospice House. He was born Dec. 30, 1935, in Shawnee, Kan. He was the first son of Irvin and Augusta (Strobbe) Stumpff. He was preceded in death by both parents, one brother and four sisters.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1960-1964, receiving a Good Conduct Medal and a Sharpshooter Badge (rifle). After moving to Linn Valley, he retired from the Teamsters Union.
Fred enjoyed driving big vehicles and fixing and building things. He was always eager and willing to help anyone who needed it. He was a great friend. They would call on him to cut a tree, mow the lawn or just for his company. In his later years, he loved riding with his best friend Roger and enjoyed walks with his dog Smokie.
Forever cherishing his memories are two brothers and seven sisters.
The family of Fred Stumpff would like to thank each of you for the many blessings of love, care and sympathy during this time of transition for the family.
His memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 2020, at Linn Valley Community Church, 86 S. Linn Valley Drive, Linn Valley, Kan. 66040.
