Gene Wesley Teel of Leesburg, Fla., passed away May 29, 2018, at the age of 87.
Gene W. Teel retired from the U.S. Army in 1972 after serving 24 years at the rank of Command Sergeant Major. He served two tours in Vietnam and one tour in Korea. He received numerous commendations, including the Meritorious Service Medal.
Gene leaves his wife Ruth of Leesburg; a daughter, Janet Easley (Clarence) of Pleasanton, Kan.; a stepdaughter, Angela Kuhn (Todd) of Mims, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Taylor Easley and Erika Easley of Pleasanton, and Chelsea Carroll and Sean Carroll of St. Peters, Mo.
Inurnment will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla., on June 13, 2018.
