Hazel Louise Robbins, age 72, La Cygne, Kan., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, at her home in La Cygne. She was born on Sept. 2, 1945, the daughter of Earl Edward and Nellie Mae Bishop Fleming.
She graduated from La Cygne Rural High School in the Class of 1964.
She married Kenneth Robbins on June 17, 1971, at Cypress, Calif.
Hazel worked as an operator for Southwestern Bell and in the restaurant industry. However, her true occupation was homemaker, taking care of her family. She liked to scrapbook. She made sure that each of the kids had a book. Every Sunday many family members and friends would gather at the Robbins home for “Hazel’s Revival.” Fellowship and coffee was had in abundance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, William and Jim Fleming; one sister, Susanna Fleming; a grandchild, Holden; sister-in-law Jewel; brother-in-law Fred; nephew Billy; and niece Julie.
Hazel is survived by her husband Kenneth; two sons, Kenny Robbins and Debra, and Travis Robbins and Teresa; two daughters, Debbie Marmon and Ernie, and Krystle Carter and Kyle; three brothers, Edward Fleming, Joe Fleming and Wilbur Fleming; two sisters, Bonnie Bland and Jessie Russell; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and two on the way.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
