Jack C. Rutledge, age 81, of Prescott, Kan., died April 5, 2017, at the Prescott Country View Nursing Home. Jack was born Nov. 2, 1935, the son of Claude and Meryl Rankin Rutledge in Prescott.
Jack obtained a bachelor’s degree in teaching from Pittsburg State University and taught in Hermitage, Mo., for some years. He also worked many years at Key Industries and retired from there.
He married Mildred French who preceded him in death. Later in life he married Mary Bruce Dulaney who also preceded him in death.
Jack loved fishing, gardening, listening to music, watching television and also teasing the nurses at the nursing home.
He also was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside service was held Monday, April 10, 2017, at the Prescott Cemetery.
