Jacqueline "Jackie" Whitcomb, age 63, of Centerville, Kan., passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, at Olathe Hospice House in Olathe, Kan.

She was born on Oct. 20, 1962, in Olathe, Kan., the daughter of Gene and Mary (Coughlin) McCain. Jackie graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School with the Class of 1981 and earned her Associate of Arts degree from Johnson County Community College.

Jackie was a dedicated bookkeeper at Prime Industrial Products for 38 years.

Jackie was united in marriage to Mark Allen Walls. This union was blessed with two children, Emily Elizabeth and Mark Allen II. They later divorced.

Jackie was united in marriage to Kevin Whitcomb on Feb. 18, 2012, in Garnett, Kan. She gained a bonus daughter and son from this union. Together they made their home in Centerville, where Jackie's love for family, nature and simple joys filled their days.

Jackie was an amazing mom and grandma - her children and grandchildren were her most treasured blessings. She was deeply caring, always putting her loved ones first, and found great joy in making others feel at home. A wonderful cook, Jackie loved gathering family and friends around the table to share her delicious meals. She had a green thumb and took pride in her garden, always growing beautiful produce that she happily shared with those around her. Jackie also enjoyed raising chickens and spending time outdoors, finding peace in nature and the rhythm of country life. She especially loved time spent with Kevin, whether at home or enjoying the quiet beauty of their surroundings together.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gene McCain; brother, George McCain; and father-in-law, Donald Whitcomb.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Kevin Whitcomb; her children; Emily and James Stephens, Mark Walls II; bonus daughter, Katie and Joe Owens; bonus son Tanner Whitcomb; grandchildren, Alaina and Allen; her mother, Mary McCain; and her siblings, Tammy and Pat Veltman and Jeff and Brenda McCain; sister-in-law, Jennifer Walls; and numerous other family members and friends.

Jackie's family will greet friends on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Garnett, Kan. A Celebration of Life for Jackie will be held on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. There will be a private inurnment with family at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to W.I.N.G.S or a library of your choice, and may be left in care of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 219 S. Oak Street, Garnett, Kansas 66032.
