James Allen Perkins, age 66, Blue Mound, Kan., passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025. He was born on April 11, 1958, in Paola, Kan., the son of Richard and Susan Norton Perkins. He worked in the construction industry as a laborer. Jim was all about family. He loved spending time with them. He liked to fish and hunt, always taking good care of his bird dogs. 

He was preceded in death by his parents. Jim is survived by two daughters, Renae Zaman (Doug), and Leah Perkins; two brothers, Joseph Perkins, and Timothy Perkins; two sisters, Deborah David, and Denise East; and six grandchildren, Madison, Brooke, Mason, Blaine, Jordy, and Lillian.  

No services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions are suggested to Linn County Hunter Safety, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O. Box J, Mound City, Kan. 66056.  Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
