James E. Rabourn, age 90, passed away Jan. 28, 2019, in Salina, Kan. James was born Dec. 14, 1928, to James T. and Anna Porter Rabourn in Butler, Mo.
He graduated from Pleasanton High School with the class of 1946. After graduation James entered the Navy serving till 1948. In 1951, he graduated from Baker University with a degree in business. Following graduation James was employed from 1951-1966 as a buyer for Bendix manufacturing. After leaving Bendix he was a manufacturing representative for several electronic companies before retiring from Ted Corp. in Shawnee, Kan., in 1993.
James is survived by his wife of 66 years Alta of Salina, daughter Carol Stowe (Richard), grandsons Nathen Goodwin and Bryce Goodwin (April), and great granddaughters Grace Ballou and Beca Linderman.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2019, at the Virginia Cemetery, Virginia, Mo. Friends and family will gather at noon Friday at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel, before departure for the cemetery.
