Julia “Alice” Mastin, 77, of Pleasanton, Kan., passed away on Aug. 2, 2015, in Overland Park, Kan. She was born Dec. 29, 1937, the daughter of Joseph Edward and Helen Margaret (Dougan) Maschler.
Alice enjoyed quilting, painting, reading, sewing and cooking. She loved spending time with her family and was a very loving mother and grandmother. Her motto was to be kind and loving to one another.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Billy, John and Mark; and five siblings.
Survivors include her children, Sharon Staton (Eddy), Mary Ashcraft (Tim), Glen Mastin (Kathy) and Jeffery Mastin (Caitlin); brothers, Steve Maschler (Betty) and Charles Maschler; sister, Joyce  Talley (Chuck); grandchildren, Joshua Lindsey (Kalsie), Jessica Brandt, Alyson Staton, Moriah Mastin, Debbie Snowden, Lauren Ashcraft, Brandi Staton, Wesley Staton (Elizabeth), Jade Staton and Jessica Saunders; and great-grandchildren, Titus, Eli, Hugh, Dominic, Randall, August, Gavin, Drew, Dean, Tadyn, Havyn, Bronx, Dalton, Jasmine, Nina, Angelio and Sigh.
Services were held Fri., Aug. 7, 2015, at Penwell-Gabel Chapel, Louisburg, Kan.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Julie “Alice” Mastin memorial fund.
