Kellie Jo Harvey, age 57, of Mapleton, Kan., passed away as a result of a motor vehicle accident on March 26, 2026. She was born on Oct. 24, 1968, the daughter of Bill and Linda Brown Allen. Kellie graduated from Prairie View High School in May of 1987. She attended Pittsburg State University and majored in nursing. She worked at Mount Carmel Medical Center in Pittsburg, Kan., through college and beyond. She was a member of Pittsburg State University Drill and Flag Team. She also worked in Fort Scott as an insurance claims processor for many years.

Kellie was a hard worker and was passionate about her garden and helping Stan with his trucking operation. She had a passion for taking care of everyone and a huge heart that was bigger than most. She enjoyed sports and would drive all over the country watching her siblings, her boys, nieces, nephews and anyone she wanted to watch. She loved to cook and eat good food. If you needed Kellie, she was there and would help anyone do anything. Kellie was very independent, strong willed and could, and would figure out things on her own and do it herself. Helping others was her passion as she helped with her grandparents, Uncle Jimmy, and her niece Kate, taking care of their needs and others. Family was a very important part of Kellie’s life as her boys meant everything to her and she was a very proud mother. She was married to Andy Root and Justin Harvey whom she had her 2 boys Jake (Maycee) Harvey and Jace “Heavy” Harvey. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ward and Jean Allen and Jake & Marge Brown; father Bill Allen. She is survived by her companion Stan Sisson; sons Jake (Maycee) Harvey and Jace “Heavy” Harvey, Colby (Rachel) Sisson, Wil (Kristin) Sisson; and daughter Kenzie (Taylor) Neal; parents Dave and Linda Hall and Brenda Allen; brothers Chad (Tara) Allen, Brent (Sarah) Basore, and Austin (Ashlee) Allen; sisters Amy (Jeb) Clements, Alison (Joe) Dir; grandchildren Wyatt, Wade, Colter, Stella, Madylin, Quinley; nephews Kannon, Levi, Hudson, and Arbor; nieces Makenzie, Brooke (Joey), Kate, Laynie, Bree, Daley, Ainslee, Arlee; and great-niece Brenna; a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and numerous friends who all meant a lot to her.
