Kenneth Delmer McGee, age 96, of Centerville, Kan., passed away on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025, in Garnett, Kan. He was born the son of Delmer Clinton and Nellie (Hibbs) McGee on July 2, 1928, in Centerville, Kan. He graduated from Parker High School in 1946. He joined the United States Army in 1951; after serving his country he was honorably discharged in 1953 and returned home to the family farm. 

In 1955, he married the love of his life, Kathryn Kite, and to this union three daughters were born. Kathryn preceded him in death on Jan. 18, 2022.  Kenneth loved being at home tending and caring for his animals and the farm, his family, country music and the Kansas City Chiefs.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Victor McGee; and five sisters, Vivian White, Maxine Wuesterfeld, Darlene Albright, Marjorie Jean Foxgruber and Ruth McGee. He is survived by four daughters, Connie Reiter (Howard) of Kincaid, Karen Kay Clayton of Olathe, Patty Latta (Randy) of Iola, Lillian Kite of Centerville; seven grandchildren, Gary Reiter, Angela Reiter, Dean Friend, James Lloyd, Ryan Latta, Jarred Latta, Trent Latta and eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, at the Centerville Community Church. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, at the Centerville Community Church. Burial will follow in the Centerville Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Centerville Community Church. Online condolences may be left at www.schniederfunerals.com.
