Larry Duane Leonard, age 77, Pleasanton, Kan., passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, in Louisburg, Kan. He was born the son of Otis and Niona Rose Leonard on Oct. 25, 1942 in Pleasanton. 

Larry married Neta Lee Montgomery in 1972 at Miami, Okla. To this union were born two sons, Franklin and Larry Leonard. 

Larry served in the National Guard for six years. He was a certified silversmith; he also loved fishing and hunting and flying radio controlled aircraft. Over the years, Larry was employed by P&M Coal Company, the Linn County Sheriff's Department and the Linn County Road Department. 

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and older brother Eugene Leonard.

 He is survived by his wife; his two sons; two brothers, Darryl Leonard and wife Vicki, and Jerry Leonard and wife Jo; one granddaughter, Hannah; one great grandson, Noah; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2020, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.
