Leslie Ann Nation, age 20, Mound City, Kan., died Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She was born in Overland Park, Kan., on June 21, 1997, the daughter of David and Tracie (West) Nation.
While attending Jayhawk-Linn High School, Leslie was active in FFA and lettered all four years in volleyball and softball. She graduated with the Class of 2015. Leslie was currently attending Fort Scott Community College Nursing School. She was employed at Guest Home Estates working as a certified nurse assistant. She also had her phlebotomy credentials.
Leslie enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to ride horses.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Carol Nation. Leslie is survived by her parents, David Nation and Tracie Nation; one brother, Brennan Simpson; two sisters, Jill and Hannah Nation; maternal grandparents, Brent West and Debbie Lyman and her husband Carl; paternal grandfather, Melvin Nation and his wife Sue; niece Claire; several aunts and uncles; and many cousins.
Funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at the Mound City Christian Church. Burial was in the Linnville Cemetery.
