Lewis D. (L.D.) Scott, 83, Schaumburg, Ill., formerly of Rolling Meadows, Ill., died April 17, 2016. He was born Dec. 13, 1932, to Leo Bertner and Edna Hahn Scott, Mound City, Kan.
He graduated from Mound City High School in the class of 1950 and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving as a paratrooper.
He worked at the WGN station for 35 years in Chicago, Ill.
He is survived by a son Roger (Rolyssa) of Rolling Meadows and a daughter Jodi (Jason) Steeno, Weldon Springs, Mo.; grandchildren; two brothers William (Bill) Scott and Rubie, Mound City, Kan., and Calvin Scott, Mesa, Ariz.; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josie; daughter Ginger; parents; brothers Waldo and Charles, Mound City; sisters Leah Ellis, Pleasanton, Thresa Noggle, Ellen Stutsman, Ester Teeter and Gladys Ward, all of Mound City.
Services were held Friday in Rolling Meadows, Ill.
