Lillie Mae McGee, age 82, Ottawa, Kan., formerly of Linn County, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, at her home. Lillie was born on March 17, 1934, in Alluwe, Okla., to Dawson and Opal (Wilcox) King. 

On Feb. 14, 1960, she married the love of her life Wallace E. McGee at Nowata, Okla. She enjoyed being a homemaker and farm wife. 

She had attended church at Blue Mound Federated, Kincaid Baptist, Colony Christian and First Southern Baptist. 

Survivors include her son and his wife, David and Leann McGee; daughter and her husband, Donita and Daron Beers; two brothers, Harold and Gale King; five grandchildren, Jacob, Dacia, Courtney, Jeremy and Stacy; and two great-grandchildren, Justin and Bryce. 

Lillie was preceded in death by her husband Wally McGee on Nov. 11, 2014; and four brothers, Charles, Bill, Don and Johnny King. 

 

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Wall Street Church. Burial will follow in Sunny Slope Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct.14, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Contributions are suggested to Step Up for SIDS.
