Linda K. Parkison, age 66 of Camdenton, Mo., lost her battle of almost four years with liver/colon cancer on Sept. 20, 2016.

She worked and retired from Pyramid Life Insurance Co. in Merriam, Kan., where she paid claims.

In her spare time she loved to fish, do crafts and sew. She also helped in soup kitchens and made baskets to raffle off for various benefits.

She leaves behind her mother Rosemary Balka of Munster, Ind.; brothers Chris Balka of Seattle, Wash., and Bart and his wife Debbie Balka of LaGrange ,Ind.; her only daughter Bekki Gibson of Mound City, Kan.; three granddaughters Kasey Gibson of Prescott Kan., and Natalie Mincks and Jessica Gibson of Fayetteville, Ark.; four great- grandchildren; three nephews; one niece; and her significant other of 30 years Walt Maholovich.

She was a beautiful and courageous woman who will truly be missed by her family and her friends.

Arrangements are that her ashes will be taken to Indiana and a memorial service will be held there to celebrate her life. She will then be laid to rest by her father John Balka.
