Lois Joan Streeter, age 93 of Pleasanton, Kan., passed away in Louisburg, Kan., on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. She was born the daughter of Chlorus and Clara Henkel Boone on Nov. 18, 1931, at Tacoma, Wash. She married Ulas Grant Miller, he preceded her in death in 1954. Lois then married Leo Streeter on May 28, 1955, at Rock Island, Wash., he preceded her in death on Oct. 11, 2000. 

She worked at the post office in Mound City for over twenty years and was acting Postmaster at the end of her career with the post office sending her to many small towns around the area. Lois loved to read and crochet, she also loved tending to her flower beds and especially loved interacting with her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Dick Boone; and two sisters, Donna Evanson and Betty Rich. Lois is survived by a daughter, Lita Ellison (Albert); four sons, Russ Streeter (Sandra), Jim Streeter (Janice), Andy Streeter (Linda) and Larry Streeter (Malissa); a brother, Gene Boone; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 3 p.m., on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Schneider Funeral Home, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial will follow in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to the Vintage Park of Louisburg - Courtyard Garden Park Fund. Online condolences may be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
