Marilyn B. Eastwood, age 91, Centerville, Kan., passed away on Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, at the Franklin House in Fort Scott, Kan. She was born on Feb. 1, 1928, in Centerville, the daughter of Harry and Bernice Boydston Quaintance.
She attended school in Centerville and later graduated from Parker High School. She then attended Ottawa University where she obtained her teacher's certificate.
She taught school at the Keokuk School for a short time before she married Wilbur Eastwood on May 2, 1948. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2012.
The most important things in her life were her relationship with God and attending church, her family, visiting with friends, and gardening. She was a member of the Centerville Community Church.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Don Quaintance.
Marilyn is survived by three sons, Mike Eastwood and wife Vicki, Mark Eastwood and wife Charla, and David Eastwood and wife Laura; three sisters, Jacque Smith, Beverly Knapp and Sue Dumcum; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Visitation will follow until 8 p.m.
