Marjorie Ellen Dingus, age 91, Pleasanton, Kan., passed away on Friday, Nov. 27, 2020. She was born in Fontana, Kan., on Nov. 14, 1929, the daughter of Lawson and Ethel Vanderpeet Palmer. She was united in marriage to Marvin Dingus on Nov. 15, 1956. He preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Alice, Jennie, Nora and Anna Louise.
Marjorie attended the First Baptist Church. She worked as a volunteer at Pleasanton Meals on Wheels and enjoyed flower gardening. She enjoyed a good thrill, as evidenced by her trip to Worlds of Fun at the age of eighty. She is survived by her daughter, Marjorie Miller (Clay); a sister, Charlene Genke; and two grandchildren, Michael Miller (Cassandra) and Misty Pulley.
Graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday Dec. 5, 2020, at the Battlefield Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to St Jude’s Childrens Hospital, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O. Box 525, Pleasanton, Kan., 66075. Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
