Mary Alice Francis, age 83, La Cygne, Kan., passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017. She was born at La Cygne on Sept. 27, 1933, the daughter of Harry and Ona Fultz Anderson.
She married Arthur “Art” Francis on Sept. 14, 1950. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2012.
She was a member of the La Cygne Christian church. She enjoyed her family, especially planning parties for her grandkids and fixing them biscuits and gravy.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Charlie, Roy and Johnny Anderson; two sisters, Faye Lee and Wilma Anderson; and a son-in-law, Donald.
She is survived by five daughters, Glenna Mae Farris and Jim, Brenda Kay Taylor, Linda Faye Browning and Dennis, Rhonda Rae Moore and Jim, and Mitzi Gay Mossman and Mark; one brother, Jerry Anderson; one sister, Betty Moore; and 13 grand- and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 20, 2017, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, La Cygne Chapel. Burial will be in the Star Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel.
