Mary Frances Claytor, age 77, La Cygne, Kan., passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022. She was born on Feb. 27, 1944, in Panama City, Fla., the daughter of Owens and Florence Fortune Walker. She grew up and attended school in LaBelle, Fla. She was united in marriage to Ernest Claytor in 1963; this union lasted fifty-eight years. Mary moved from Florida to Louisburg, Kan., in 1979 and then to La Cygne in 1999. She worked as a cashier and nurses aide.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Robert, Ernest Jr. and Paul Claytor. Mary is survived by her husband, Ernest; a daughter, Lisa Claytor; a brother, John Walker; two sisters, Brenda Meader and Yvonne Starzeck; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
No services are planned. Mary will be laid to rest in Florida with family. Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
