Mary Frances Keller, 69, of Lake Chaparral, died at 6:35 a.m., Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Olathe Medical Center after a long illness. Mary was born Feb. 14, 1945, in Kansas City, Mo., to Henry F. and Rose Mary (Sheley) Stimpfel.
Mary attended Saint Benedictine for a time. She was active in the Women’s Auxiliary of Lake Chaparral teaching crafts and painting. Mary also enjoyed drawing, crocheting, jewelry making and, in her younger years, racing cars with her husband, Robert C. Keller, whom she married on Aug. 25, 1979, in Lenexa, Kan. He survives of the home.
Additional survivors include three daughters, Mary E. Haws and husband Albert of Hiawatha, Kan., Rebecca S. Haller and husband Mike of Topeka, Kan., and Christine A. Cooley of Osawatomie, Kan.; one brother, Hank B. Stimpfel of Belton, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A private family gathering will take place. The family suggests memorials to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation. Schneider Funeral Home & Crematory of Pleasanton is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
