May Louise Krause, age 83, Centerville, Kan., passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019. She was born on Nov. 1, 1935, at Seneca, Neb., the daughter of George and Eldora Stabler Morton.

She was united in marriage to Frank Krause on June 26, 1955. She worked alongside Frank as a farm wife and homemaker. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2003. She enjoyed reading, gardening, quilting, and was a connoisseur of fried chicken. 

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ray, James and Fritz; and a sister, Carol.

May is survived by two sons, Terry Krause and wife Cathy, and Glen Krause and wife Donna; four daughters, Virginia “Ginny” Coleman and husband Dan, Kathy Babinski and husband Peter, Marla Prothe and husband Kevin, and Karla Homrighausen and husband Carl; a brother, Richard; 11 grandchildren, Kelly, Megan, Michelle, Derek, Bethany, Ryan, Brett, Lisa, Julie, Justin and Brooke; and six great grandchildren, Mason, Easton, Hailey, Ella May, Connor and Graham. 

Graveside service was scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2019, at the Centerville Cemetery.

The family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O. Box J, Mound City, KS 66056.
