Nana Jo New, 56, of Pleasanton, Kan., passed away at her residence on March 27, 2015. She was born Aug. 22, 1958, at Grayling, Mich., the daughter of James and Lila Aldrich Carr. She married Michael New July 18, 2005.
Nana Jo was a member of the Liberty Worship Center in Pleasanton, Kan. She enjoyed her two faithful companions, Annabelle and Maggie, gardening, sitting around the fire pit, swimming, going to garage sales and flea markets, fishing and reading.
She is survived by her husband; her pets; a daughter by choice, Manon; two sisters, Cheryl Carr and Cathy Smith; two brothers, Wesley Carr and wife Linda, and Norman Carr; two nieces, Lilie and Ellie; three nephews, Steven, Christopher and Phillip.
A Celebration of Life will be held beginning at noon on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at the Shalom Ministries, 12985 County Road 1095, Mound City, Kan. The family suggests contributions be made to the Nana Jo New Memorial Fund in c/o Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 525, Pleasanton, KS 66075.
