Nancy Jean Reed, age 77, La Cygne, Kan., passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at Promise Hospital of Overland Park. She was born at Madison, Iowa, on June 22, 1940, the daughter of Harry H. and Charlotte Emily Miller Weaver.
She was married to Kenneth Reed on Aug. 18, 1970. He preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 2010.
Nancy retired from the Osawatomie State Hospital as a psych tech.
She is survived by a son, Jeff Reed; a daughter, Julie Schaal; grandson Sean Reed; and a sister, Linda Polley.
Nancy will be laid to rest in Walsenburg, Colo.
