Nellie Hanson, formerly of La Cygne, Kan., passed away at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tenn.
Nellie was born at Bogard, Mo., Jan. 20, 1915, to Frank Trusty and Lillie Bringham. She married Richard Newport Feb. 29, 1932. They later divorced. On Nov 24, 1961, she married Jeff Hanson. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, James Newport of La Cygne, Kan.; her daughter Twanette Nickell of Hohenwald, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 37 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will celebrate her life Sept. 27, at 2 p.m., at the Star Valley Cemetery.
