Norman L. Kettler, age 88, Paola, Kan., passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at his home. He was born on June 1, 1927, at Block, Kan., the son of Herman and Emma Block Kettler.
He married Illene Mendenhall on March 11, 1951, at Paola, Kan. Together Illene and he farmed until retirement. He was a member of the New Lancaster United Methodist Church.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Delton Kettler; and a sister Lorene Medlen.
He is survived by his wife, Illene; two sons Randy and Kevin Kettler; thirteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Monday, March 14, 2016, at the New Lancaster United Methodist Church. Burial was in the New Lancaster Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the New Lancaster United Methodist Church or Prairie View FFA. Online condolences for the family may be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
